This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that isongU does not own or control, or to individuals that isongU does not employ.
isongU knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we protect your privacy. In fact, isongU is based on anonymity (the bare bones music), so (unless your song makes it to Mass Exposure) we have no inherent interest in your metadata.
isongU does not allow links to other websites nor does it allow advertisments to appear on its website.
Emails:
That said; we do need an email which becomes your user ID. These email addresses are stored in a double firewalled, encrypted database. Our website is also a https:// website with Extended Validation SSL security. Also, under no circumstances will we share these email addresses with third parties. The same is true of emails sent and received; we will not share details of these emails with third parties.
Within the isongU website, user profile information including users’ name, email address, purchase history and other information you enter (“User Submissions”) may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction.
Within the isongU website, email addresses are used to add new User Submissions to user profiles and to communicate through User Submissions. Users’ email addresses will not be directly revealed to other users by Company, except, when the user is “connected” to another user via a shared group membership, or an invitation, or if the user has chosen to include their email address in their User Profile.
Communication in response to User Submissions: As part of the Website and Services, you will receive from Company email and other communication relating to your User Submissions. You acknowledge and agree that by posting such User Submissions, Company may send you email and other communication that it determines in its sole discretion relate to your User Submissions.
Dividends and purchases:
Even more important, to pay out dividends to reviewers and artists and to accept payments for songs we may need banking, credit card and PayPal information: As with the emails, this is also protected behind a double firewalled, encrypted database. And it is again protected by secure merchant protocols: Extended Validation SSL (only Extended Validation SSL comes with the green bar).
Under no circumstances will we ever share banking or credit card or PayPal details with third parties.
